Too much success Bronze subject on a veined marble base representing a young graduate boy carrying a column of prizes (books) with the inscription on the terrace: too much success and signed on the back L CLEYLouis KLEYBorn March 17, 1833 in Sens, Louis KLEY was an apprentice in jewelry before turning to sculpture in 1850. He exhibited between 1853 and 1897 and produced statues, statuettes, busts, medallions and groups in bas-relief. He received the silver medal at the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris.
