"Pair Of Queen Armchairs, Transition Stamped Geny, 18th Century"
Pair of armchairs known as "à la Reine" with a flat medallion-shaped back, in natural wood, molded and carved, work from the Transition Louis XV Louis XVI period, with pretty sculptural details on the belt and at the top of the feet. These elegant and beautiful classical seats are presented in good condition, interesting detail, on the back, there are old traces of lace upholstery, proof of quality, FN Geny received master in 1773, a seat carpenter who flourished in the second half of the 18th century. He practiced in Lyon for more than fifty years and produced "beautiful" seats in the classical taste, the pair of seats presented here is a good example.
