Early 20th Century Painting With Florentine View

Beautiful oil painting on a panel, inserted in a gilded frame with a wooden passe-partout. The work depicts a glimpse of a street in Florence, with the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in the background. Two figures are also visible in the street, almost shadows, in an atmosphere that seems like a sunny day. A great play of light and shadow is highlighted, with a realistic painting technique. In the lower right corner of the painting you can see the signature of the painter Basagni, a famous Florentine artist known for his depictions of the city of Florence. The painting dates back to the early 20th century.
