Trained in sculpture, he turned to ceramics in the 1930s and quickly developed a unique style, at the crossroads of decorative art and design. His creations, often inspired by the human body, are distinguished by their organic, sensual and sometimes daringly asymmetrical lines. Active until the 1970s, he successfully blended artisanal expertise with formal modernity. Signed "Pol Chambost," his works combine elegance, innovation, and expressiveness. They perfectly embody the spirit of the Trente Glorieuses and the post-war artistic revival.
