Pantin Crystal Factory, Camille De Vez, Art Nouveau Vase In Engraved Multi-layer Glass
Pear-shaped vase in lilac blue, milky white and green with a rotating decoration of a lake landscape with tree-lined islets in the background of hydrangea branches.
This vase is part of the “glass landscapes” produced by the Cristallerie de Pantin under the artistic direction of Camille Trutié de Varreux (Camille de Vez).
Great research in the composition and production, the precise biting work of the acid-etched cameo engraving and the gradation of shades offering a delicate decoration, with motifs that are both clear and subtle.
“CP” monogram in cameo in the decoration, signature rarement rencontrée.
c. 1907-1910.
Very good condition – small bubbles and inclusions in the paste, original.
c. 20.3 cm high. cf. Giuseppe Cappa, “The Glass Genius of Europe”, pp. 358-364;
