Magnificent gilded wooden frame, in Renaissance style, characterized by a rich architectural molding and a meticulously chiseled relief decoration.
The structure is rectangular, with a large protruding cornice in the upper part, decorated with serrated motifs and a sequence of small elements in relief that give depth and classical rigor to the composition.
The internal band of the frame is decorated with an elegant continuous interweaving motif of stylised leaves, framed by smooth gilded edges.
At the corners there are rosettes carved in relief, a recurring element in the decorative art of the Renaissance, a symbol of balance and geometric perfection.
The gold leaf gilding, probably applied on red bole, shows a patina that allows glimpses of warm shades, giving the frame a precious and authentic appearance.
The state of conservation is good, some loss of lacquer and gilding in some places, visible only from a close distance.
