Round barrel with rifled bore, marked on top and two lines: Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co, Hartford, Ct, U.S.A. and on the left side COLT D 45. Half-moon handlebars.
Closed, case-hardened carcass, marked on left side: Pat. Sept. 19, '71. July 2, '72. Jan.19, '75.
All parts numbered 139158.
Stock plates in gutta percha, checkered with the prancing colt and eagle emblematic of America.
