Carved and gilded wooden frame. Italy 18th century.
In very good general condition, pretty gilding very little worn.
Beautiful old patina with clearly visible browning.
The rebate was narrowed in the 19th century by the addition of a rod and the sole retinted brown also in the 19th century.
Solid frame that can accommodate a painting or a mirror.
