This is an excellent quality portrait in excellent condition, depicting the young Miss Jones, wearing a gold satin gown overlaid with Prussian blue drapery. She is thought to have been the daughter of Robert Jones III, grandson of Colonel Phillip Jones, then said to be the richest man in Wales, who purchased Fonman in 1658. Presented in a carved gilt Kent egg and dart frame with a scallop shell motif. We can quote for frame restoration. The painting is in excellent condition, clean and stable.
