"Truchot Spider For Cephalic Shower"
Rare and large spider called Truchot, after its inventor Charles Truchot, signed by Eugène Ducretet and datable to the very end of the 19th century. This electrotherapy instrument was used for electrostatic baths or cephalic showers. The spider was used with an electrostatic machine. The spider itself measures 17cm in diameter and the instrument measures 57cm in length with its ebony handle (slightly twisted). Very rare.
