Kuwasseg fils” 41 x 32 cm (60 x 52.5 cm with the frame) Old label on the back Very beautiful 19th century frame with canals and palmette decoration and pearl frieze Very good condition Charles Euphrasie Kuwwaseg was a student of Durand-Brager and Eugène Isabey. But he was first a long-distance sailor before becoming an official painter who exhibited picturesque views of Normandy and elsewhere at the Paris Salon from 1855. His works are now held in many museums, notably the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen, Rennes and Fécamp.
