Refined Italian painting from the 18th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a splendid female portrait, a noblewoman in an elegant dress embellished with jewels, lace and embroidered ribbons. Painting of excellent pictorial quality, of particular note are the sumptuous drapery and the elaborate dark velvet collar embroidered in silver and pearls. 20th century frame in carved and gilded wood, beautifully decorated, with some signs of aging. Painting already restored with re-lining, replacement of the frame and re-coloring in some places. Overall in good condition.
