Rare pyrogen in finely chiseled gilt bronze. Naturalist decoration in which a pike, a woodcock, a reed and a fishing net filled with matches and pyrogen are intertwined. Probably comes from a hunting lodge. Late 19th century period. Please note: this pyrogen is in very good general condition. Slight lack of gilding on the part forming the match holder and pyrogen. Wear from use and time. Please look carefully at the photos.
