"Spanish School (16th-17th Centuries) - Our Lady Of The Sagrario Of The Cathedral Of Toledo"
- Oil on panel.- The history of Hispanic devotion to the miracle of the Virgin of the Tabernacle in Toledo Cathedral, widely disseminated through paintings and engravings, describes two notable events: first, that the Virgin, in a miraculous event, had descended from heaven to honor Saint Ildefonso by placing the chasuble on him, in a scene repeated in iconography, and second, that she had then embraced her own sculptural recreation, making the object a participant in her divine condition and thus transforming it into an active instrument of persuasion.- Dimensions of the unframed image: 20 x 28 cm / 36 x 45 cm, with an elegant classical-style frame.
