"Bouquet Of Irises"
A bouquet of irises in a necked vase with Japanese-style decoration. Painted by Albert Sarfati, a French painter born in Constantine, Algeria in 1886 and died in France in 1967. Painter of landscapes, city views and still lifes. Active in France, he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1920 to 1929 and is included in its Catalogue Raisonné. He also exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Tuileries. Many of his paintings were part of the Kupfer Collection, a great German opera director and a great collector of 20th-century works.
