" Hermès, Porcelain Ashtray, 20th Century"
Rectangular porcelain ashtray decorated in its center with a duck on a pond surrounded by plants, appearing to be irises. The decorations in the center of the ashtray are painted. Red, brown and black were used to paint the duck and brown was used to paint the body of water as well as the vegetation surrounding the duck. The edge of the ashtray is decorated with lines going all the way around the ashtray, they are painted with ochre and beige colors. The contours of the ashtray are gilded.This ashtray is in very good condition.
