Sergio Rodriguez Style Exotic Wood Console.

Brazilian modernist console from the 1960s, in solid exotic wood, in the spirit of Sergio Rodrigues. The base has a beautiful sculptural tension, with slender oblong shapes and a slightly curved central crosspiece, typical of the search for visual balance specific to tropical modernism. The wood grain, very expressive, underlines the organic and exclusive character of the piece. The shelf was replaced by the last owner and is probably in mahogany. Successful craftsmanship, where the structure becomes as much functional as plastic. The surfaces have been renovated by our restorer. Some signs of normal wear persist on the shelf as well as very small period restorations on the base, of the order of one centimeter each (see photos) L 150 CM X W 47 CM X H 74 CM.
