"Roman Style Necklace - 1950s Parisian Fantasy "
Roman Style Long Necklace – 1950s Parisian FantasyPendant dimensions: H. 5.5 cm × W. 5.5 cmInner diameter of the necklace: 29.5 cmLength: Superb French fantasy necklace, in the Roman Paris style, dating from the 1950s. This iconic post-war jewel embodies all the creative effervescence of Parisian haute fantaisie. Its symmetrical and architectural composition evokes the baroque and exuberant codes found today in the creations of houses such as Dolce & Gabbana. The central pendant, in the shape of a radiant cross, is adorned with a geometric motif composed of emerald-cut, baguette-cut and brilliant-cut glass. Each element is delicately set on a patinated gold-plated metal, probably a brass alloy, typical of the designer jewelry of this period. The chain alternates baguette links and round rhinestones in a closed setting, bringing balance and radiance to the whole. The overall aesthetic is both theatrical and refined, combining opulence and elegance with a very "couture" audacity. Condition: in its original condition, with its original patina. Unfortunately, a small glass element is missing (top right of the pendant when worn), without altering the overall visual impact of the jewel. ⸻Firm price: €480 Non-negotiable – Secure shipping and careful packaging offered by Galerie De Cicco.
