Set of 6 coffee cups and saucers in Limoges porcelain, Raynaud, Promenade Au Palais Royal One of the most prestigious services from the Raynaud house in Limoges The motifs of the cartels evoke the morals of the "incroyables" and "marvellous" eccentric youths of Paris under the Directory and are inspired by an engraving by Louis Carrogis known as Carmontelle (1795-1799). All the characters and foliage are enhanced by hand before being painted with colored enamels and powdered with pure gold.
