Pair of forged metal andirons Decorated with volutes and inverted volutes around a central pillar with 4 sides, the whole crowned by a thick bronze wafer decorated alternately with the old coat of arms of the VISCONTI family: an Angling Viper holding a child by one leg in its mouth and the coat of arms of the SFORZA family: a crowned Lion holding a handful of quince leaves in its paws, recalling the village of origin of the SFORZA
