Great Calvary - Crucifiction Carved Wood Polychrome Folk Art 18th Century
This large Calvary rests on a stepped altar patinated with trompe l'oeil marble decoration. It is made of carved and polychrome wood. At the foot of the cross is a skull and the nails of the Passion, above Christ on the cross: the Holy Spirit, Mary Magdalene and the Virgin Mary standing on either side of the cross. Good state of preservation. Folk art from Alsace, 18th century. 110 x 40 x 10 cm
