Meissen Porcelain Double Salt Cellars, Kändler, Rococo, Crossed Swords Mark, C.1830
Offered is a fine Meissen porcelain double salt cellar set, c.1830. Rococo style, featuring a boy and young woman between two flowered baskets, hand-painted, on gilt-moulded bases. Modeled after Johann Kändler’s 18th-century originals, marked with blue crossed swords and model ‘3024’.
Measurements: Boy 14 x 14 x 8.5 cm (346g), Girl 13.3 x 14 x 8.5 cm (412g).
Condition: Boy – tiny chip to back of hat, light gilt wear. Girl – right basket handle restored, minor gilt wear. Excellent overall.
