Louis XV Period: Red Lacquer Pin Box, Chinese Decoration

Here is an antique wooden pin box, painted with lacquer varnish in a beautiful red color, and a gold decoration, of a Chinese character, in landscape.
Hinges, button, latch are neat, cut and chiseled brass, inside is lacquered of a dark granite style.
Box for wig or headdress pins, which was probably part of a complete toilet, with tray, mirror, wig boxes, powder boxes, etc... the splendor of Louis XV red and gold!
French work, mid-18th century, an old toilet object, in a particularly nice condition, it has hardly been used.
