Art Nouveau Raphael angel medal in 18 karat gold. Antique baptism medal decorated with a cherub, the Angel of Raphael, in a plique-à-jour enamel frame in various shades of blue. It is so called because it is taken from the painting of the Sistine Madonna, painted by Raphael in the 16th century. The medal is engraved "Irene October 1, 1939."
