Henri Petitot chandelier signed Ap bronze and glass The Petitot Workshops were founded in 1860 in Paris by Eugène Petitot, whose activity began in the production of standard lighting for public buildings and more particularly churches. However, the company quickly specialized in prestigious lighting for individuals, adapting to the evolution of tastes until the 1920s when they began to produce Art Deco lighting. Indeed, under the leadership of Henri Petitot (1914-1938), several flagship models of this house, with recognizable design such as white opal glass pendants and patinated bronze wall sconces. During this period, the Petitot Workshop produced lighting fixtures that were both functional and aesthetic, combining geometric shapes, satin glass and nickel-plated bronze. Petitot lamps are noted for their exceptional quality, their careful finishes and their innovative design.
