"Great Fetish Galoa Gabon"
Large fetish of the Galoa hethny in Gabon, the face painted with a naive expression, the hands joined at the level of the stomach, a magical charge made of a cowrie in its middle, the body covered with feathers held by small touches of resin. The bottom is covered with a braided raffia loincloth, old ochre patina. Presumed period: mid-20th century. Rests on a base of good quality. Former Belgian collection.
