Rare and precious representation of the soul (Ba) of the deceased in the form of a bird with a human head, carved in wood and retaining traces of black and ochre polychromy.This figure, symbolizing the free soul capable of traveling between the world of the living and that of the dead, was placed in tombs to accompany the deceased into the afterlife.Painted wood, head adorned with a tripartite wig, compact shape, rectangular base.Antique wear perfectly consistent with its age.
