Giant lantern in carved, painted and gilded wood after a 17th century model. (181 cm high!)
Magnificent large lantern made in the 20th century after a 17th century model of a Dutch sailing ship of the VOC.
The lantern is richly gilded and silvered, decorated with 6 carved male figures, ornaments, volutes, wrought iron and at the top, 6 winged lions resting on the openwork copper roof. The lantern is hexagonal and has 5 antique panes with an open space at the back.
