"Chinese Lacquer Work Table"
Rare and precious Chinese lacquer work table from the Napoleon III period. In black and gold lacquered wood, decorated on all sides with scenes of palaces, pagodas, Chinese figures... The table rests on a baluster base, also richly decorated throughout and finished with dragon claws. The interior is entirely lacquered and composed of numerous compartments, including four covered ones. Several delicately carved objects intended for sewing are present. The silk weave under the base allows for the creations to be accommodated thanks to a sliding trapdoor. Good house condition, small accidents, wear and tear. Mid-19th century.
