Daum Nancy Art Nouveau Hop Barrel Vase
Superb and imposing barrel-shaped vase from the Art Nouveau period by Daum in Nancy, circa 1895.
Hops decoration in acid-etched glass, enameled and enhanced with gold on an opalescent and amber background. The barrel cap is hot-applied, decorated with a Star of David. The gold signature underneath has been erased over time, but this vase is clearly referenced (see photos).
Height: 20.5 cm. Diameter: 16.5 cm. Very good condition. No cracks, no chips.
