Bronze sculpture representing a Zouave with a golden patina on a walnut base, signed G. Omerth.The Zouaves were French light infantry units belonging to the African Army, which existed from 1830 to 1962.
Work from the early 20th century.
Georges Omerth was a French sculptor active from 1895 until his death in 1925.
He was a student of Albert Carrier Beleuze.
Height of the bronze alone: 20.5 cm.
Note: A very small piece of the rifle barrel may be missing. (See photo 10.)
