"bee In Flight" Ring - Emerald, Sapphire And Diamonds
“Bee in Flight” Ring, Emerald, sapphire and rose-cut diamondsItaly, Naples, circa 1950 – Poetic NaturalismLike a breath of precious poetry, this superb Italian ring from the 1950s features a small bee in full flight, delicately perched on a vermeil band (925 silver gilded with fine gold). The bee’s body combines two natural gemstones: a green cabochon emerald for the abdomen and a deep blue cushion-cut sapphire for the head. The finely openwork wings are set with rose-cut diamonds, evoking 19th-century naturalist jewelry while infusing it with a modern freshness. A rare and enchanting detail: the bee is mounted on a small mobile band, which allows it to move slightly to the rhythm of the hand’s gestures, as if it were preparing to take flight gracefully. Inside the band, two hallmarks attest to its Authenticity: • The 925 hallmark, guaranteeing the quality of the silver. • The official Italian hallmark “874 NA”, attributed to a goldsmith from Naples, registered with the Chamber of Trades — proof of traditional and refined know-how. This ring is much more than a jewel: it is a miniature sculpture, alive, poetic, and intensely feminine.
