"Boxwood Tobacco Grater, France Circa 1740"
Very pretty boxwood tobacco grater, carved in low relief with the baptism of Christ in the lower part and the Holy Spirit in the upper part. Surrounded by borders, one with geometric decoration, the other with small hearts, an acanthus leaf and a shell acting as a spout, the scraper side being decorated with a profile of Louis XV in the upper part. Old restorations to cracks. Has its grater, pretty patina
