Sculpture signed Grisard, 19th centuryCharming sculpture depicting an elegant lady with a casket, adjusting her bodice in front of a pedestal table decorated with a casket. The head and arms are made of pure white biscuit porcelain, while the dress is finely sculpted in spelter with a golden patina. The whole rests on a round griotte marble base. The scene, of great refinement, illustrates the romantic and theatrical taste of the end of the 19th century. Signed Prisard on the drapery of the garment.Dimensions: Height 34 cm - Diameter of the base 18 cm.Very good general condition, subtle combination of materials and textures.
