A pot-bellied jug in glazed earthenware with three wide handles and a pinched spout, intended for storing walnut oil, then used for lighting. Ornamented with vertical bands formed by finger patterns. Quercy, late 18th century or early 19th century. Dimensions: height approximately 30 cm - diameter approximately 35 cm. Good general condition, without cracks or chips. Obstructed spout. Hand-delivered to the Arts et Métiers department in Paris.
