"André Prevot-valeri "the Collection Of Kelp" Brittany? Normandy?"
André Prevot-Valéri was born in 1890 and died in 1959. An attentive student of Baschet and Desire-Lucas, he then deepened his artistic knowledge by devoting himself solely to painting. He spent his holidays at Les Salines in Briquet-sur-Mer, and married a young local girl in 1920. A lover of the Cotentin, he was interested in local life. Seascapes, scenes from the Normandy countryside or Brittany became his favorite subjects. André Prévot-Valéri left Paris in 1936, settled in Montmartin-sur-Mer, then in Quettreville-sur-Sienne and finally in 1946, in Granville until his death in July 1959. A hard worker, he devoted his entire life to painting. Striving to represent nature with simple emotion, he leaves us today through his works a testimony of moments of history and life, full of passion, light and generosity.MUSEUMS: PARIS (Petit Palais) – CAEN – COULOMMIERS – BOURGES – LORIENT – GRANVILLE – VANNES – SARLAT – DOUAI – ST DIZIER – AUXERRE – ANTWERP – ALGIERS – RIO de JANEIRO...
