Louis XIV type chest of drawers in olive and rosewood veneer, from the years 1715-1730. Rounded uprights, arched front, original inlaid top. Contrary to many erroneous attributions, this is a Parisian work. Frame, assembly of drawers, bronzes, etc. confirm this location. Orders for a certain number of chests of drawers veneered with olive and rosewood, among others for the Trianonaux brothers Gaudron, to Charles Hecquet, and later to Antoine Gaudreaux. Our chest of drawers has a decoration of frames, often in crooked wood, of diamonds, and on the top (original) a composition of circles , half circles and oblong motif with olive wood end grain. Beautiful period bronzes: drop handles with rosettes, entries, falls. The locks are from the 18th century, two are original, recognizable Parisian model. Superb document of three centuries of age.
