Albert Camus, born in 1913 in Mondovi, near Bône (now Annaba) in the department of Constantine (since 1962) Dréan in the willaya of El Taref; in Algeria, and died in 1960 in Villeblevin, in the Yonne, is a French writer, philosopher, novelist, playwright, essayist and short story writer. He was also a militant journalist involved in the French Resistance and in the moral struggles of the post-war period.
