" Porcelain Chandelier Meissen 1790, From The.residence Of King Alfonso XIII"
A delightful rocaille chandelier in delicate Meissen porcelain from the Marcolini period, circa 1790, from the residence of King Alfonso XIII in Biarritz. Compositionally and semantically, it is designed like a dynamic plant fountain emerging from the basket. The most delicate color of lilac, azure, and pink porcelain shades gives it a special charm. The central axis is effectively highlighted and complemented by a large garland of flowers, of jeweled beauty. Underglaze blue swords with an asterisk at the base. Height: 100 cm Diameter: 75 cm. 18th century.
