"Marseille Earthenware Dish (fauchier) - Eighteenth Century"
Small Marseille earthenware dish with a round rim decorated in polychrome within a rocaille medallion of a grotesque figure holding a pike in one hand and a trunk in the other, with a gourd-shaped gourd at the waist. The rim is decorated with rocaille motifs, shells, and floral scrolls.
Manufactured by Fauchier.
Good condition, with just a small chip on the edge and some enamel shrinkage during firing (see photos).
