Gilded wooden frame of the “Salvator Rosa” type, with sober and balanced lines. The profile features a deep cove and an inner moulded edge, without added ornamentation, reflecting an understated elegance. The original gold leaf gilding is now largely worn, revealing a warm and nuanced antique patina.

The frame is structurally sound and retains its original dimensions: it has never been cut down or altered. Its significant depth gives it a strong presence while maintaining harmony with the artwork it surrounds. This type of frame was typically used for landscapes or isolated figures, in keeping with a classical pictorial tradition.
