Exceptional Roman Parishioner made and signed by Léon Curmer in Paris with Jouaust printer for the wedding of Hélène Rohant and Edmond Vopel on December 14, 1885 in the church of Notre Dame de Valenciennes. It is in silver and full black morocco. Initials of Hélène (Rohant) and Vopel (he was therefore the bride's parishioner). Very beautiful chiseled and gilded edges decorated with plant arabesques. Gilded roulettes on the 3rd and 4th covers. Superb purple satin endpapers. Silver clasps (one clasp is missing). In-12 format (16 cm x 8.5 cm) 649 pages Perfect corners and crowns. Spine with 5 raised bands. Very numerous illustrations in black and white or color. Very fresh interior. General condition close to new. Extremely rare to find Roman parishioners of this quality and in this state.
