Ceramic vase with an animated shape covered in reddish-brown tones, speckled with green and beige on white earth, Signed on the reverse. 20th century period Born in Paris in 1920, Fernand Lacaf studied for three years at the School of Applied Arts, in the ceramics section under the teaching of Emmanuel Chabrier and Georges Serré. He was employed in several workshops (including that of Paul Millet in Sèvres and that of Marcel Guillot in Saint-Maur). In 1944, Fernand Lacaf created his own ceramic workshop, at 22 avenue d'Italie in Paris. In 1946, he married Françoise Delacourt, 4 years his junior, a Parisian drawing teacher.
