Marguerite Putsage (Mons, 1868 - Ixelles, 1946)
Painter, pastellist and watercolorist. Trained at the Mons Academy with Auguste Danse and L. Devillez (1890). Author of landscapes, figures, nudes, portraits, still lifes of flowers and interiors. Subtle palette. Her works exude intimacy, serenity and appear delicate and refined.
This subtle refinement is further enhanced in her watercolors. She creates a discreet, delicate and intimate art.
Retrospectives at the Galerie de la Toison d'Or in Brussels in 1946 and at the Brussels Artistic and Literary Circle in 1947.
Works at the Museums of Antwerp, Ixelles, Ghent and Mons.
