With contrasting marks.
Silver fountain, oval in shape and of great depth, with contrasting marks and a border composed of smooth moldings of different widths, curved to form waves, ending in four peaks that extend towards the bottom of the piece, thus drawing a series of curves and counter-curves. This form is known as "cut profiles" and was a common resource in 18th-century Spanish silversmithing that followed or was influenced by Rococo models. The mentioned marks (frustras) could place the execution of the work in Córdoba, at the time when Mateo Martínez Moreno worked as a faithful contrast, which would also allow us to date the work to 1789.
