Born in Barcelona, Jordi Samsó studied at the Escola Llotja and the Baixas Academy. A founding member of the avant-garde “6+1” group, he exhibited widely in Spain and internationally from the 1950s onward. His mature style fused abstract figuration with mythic and erotic symbolism, often employing gestural brushwork and surreal juxtapositions.
