"Large Shuttered Table, Mahogany Living Room/dining Room Table, Louis XVI / Directoire, Circa 1800"
Very large living room / dining room table in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer on oak, Directoire style, very early 19th century. This elegant table with a length of 160cm is ideal for receiving six guests. Having two leaves, it can also be used as a console. These leaves are very simple to put in place or to fold down by means of two pulls placed under the central part of the furniture (photo 12). Our table rests on four sheathed legs ending in gilded bronze shoes on casters. The top is in solid mahogany of very good quality and with magnificent shades of tones. The legs and the band are in mahogany veneer on an oak frame. Furniture is in very good condition of house. We report discreet and inevitable small scratches as well as a small graft on the top (see photo 11).
