"Empire Period Console, Belgium, 19th Century"
Mahogany console table with a rectilinear front, resting on two pilaster uprights at the front and a solid base at the back. The top is in black granite marble with discreet veins. It opens with a drawer in the belt, decorated with brass rings held by lion muzzles. The uprights are decorated with Egyptian women's heads in patinated wood in the neoclassical spirit specific to the Empire period.
