Rare crackled glass vase with applied handles in the shape of lion muzzles on each side. Chinese work based on crackled porcelain vases. Late 19th century work. Ernest Leveillé was a glass and porcelain publisher at the end of the 19th century, founding the Léveillé house in 1869 at 74 Boulevard Haussmann in Paris. His crackled vases engraved on three layers of glass earned him a gold medal. Leveillé opened a boutique in 1899 at 140 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris and then in 1902 at 10 Rue de la Paix.
