Rare Lefaucheux Model 1862 Triple Action 9mm Pinfire Revolver

Rare 9 mm pinfire revolver in triple actions after the invention of Eugène Lefaucheux, patented in 1862. The 3rd action allowed the hammer to be cocked by pressing the trigger; it was necessary to press it a second time to fire, which should have avoided finger strikes when firing, but the mechanism was complex and fragile with the fouling of the black powder. It jammed or broke quite easily. As a result, the patent was quickly abandoned.
